the revisited soul is wrapped in the aura of familiarity

bob kaufman
the quintessential jazz poet

bob kaufman took a ten year buddhist vow of silence that began with the assassination of JFK in 1963 and ended when he decreed:
All those ships that never sailed
The ones with their seacocks open
That were scuttled in their stalls...
Today I bring them back
Huge and intransitory
And let them sail
Forever
if you don't know who bob kaufman is, i urge you to check him out...

an ode to my best friend

love is the every only god

who spoke this earth so glad and big
even a thing all small and sad
man,may his mighty briefness dig

for love beginning means return
seas who could sing so deep and strong

one queerying will whitely yearn
from each last shore and home come young

so truly perfectly the skies
by merciful love whispered were,
completes its brightness with your eyes

any illimitable star

-e.e. cummings

LOVE YOU DEE!
